EPC exemptions.

All domestic (residential) and non-domestic (non residential, i.e. commercial) properties will usually require an Energy Performance Certificate apart from when: 

 

• A property does not have a roof or i.e. is not completely enclosed.
• If a non-domestic property has a total floor area less than 50m2 then it will also be exempt.
• If the property is a religous place it maybe exempted (only the building in which the prayers take place), for further info see www.direct.gov.uk/epcs.
